Dr. Richard S. Isaacson is a Preventive Neurologist at the Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases. He founded the first U.S. Alzheimer’s Prevention Clinic at Weill Cornell Medicine/NewYork-Presbyterian in 2013. An alum of the University of Missouri – Kansas City’s accelerated B.A./M.D. program, Dr. Isaacson specializes in early diagnosis and risk reduction strategies for Alzheimer’s disease (AD). His clinical research supports individualized management to optimize cognitive function and reduce dementia risk.

He has secured over $5M in NIH grants and $2M in venture capital, supporting innovations in digital health and diagnostics. His work was featured in 3 documentary films in 2024, including CNN’s “The Last Alzheimer’s Patient.” He also founded a stealth-mode biotech company in 2023 to create pre-symptomatic blood-based risk monitoring tools from home.
