Neil Tiwari is a Portfolio Manager at Magnetar for the firm’s venture business, where he focuses on investments in innovative early- to growth-stage companies. Magnetar is a multi-strategy and multi-product alternative investment manager with approximately $18.6 billion of assets under management as of September 30, 2024.

Prior to joining Magnetar, Neil was a Managing Director at dRx Capital for Novartis, leading technology investments in the life sciences space. He began his career in 2006 as a Product Development Engineer, where he oversaw the development and launch of 10 medical devices and software products, earning inventorship on 13 patents. Neil’s passion for building products evolved into a career in venture investing, where he applies his expertise to identify and support companies driving meaningful innovation.

Neil earned a BS and MS in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on EECS from Northwestern University and an MBA from Berkeley’s Haas School of Business
